Post a picture of what you rode before your current machine. By the way, check out the Showcase if you want to post pictures of your Teryx or whatever you have. My last two ATVs were a Brute Force 750 and a Grizzly 700.

No pics of the literally 100s of other quads, 3-wheelers, motorcycles and mini-bikes I've owned...A life of off-roading...

Same here; wouldn't have it any other way. I've been through 10 or so different ATVs & dirt bikes over the years. My dad put me on a Suzuki LT80 when I was 4 years old, and I've been riding ever since. I bought an LT80 for my kids too. Would love to get my oldest into racing someday.

How does the Ranger 900 compare to the Teryx?

Honestly DLB. The 900 Ranger was a very nice machine. Super-quiet in-cab, gobs of low-end, would crawl with anything out there. Drove through the woods like a Toyota pickup, very nice, pleasant ride. But the ugly cost of ownership raised it head....And I'm very anal with my stuff. Don't do mud unless I have too.....At 740 miles it needed all wheel-bearings, tie rod ends, bushings both a-arms and shocks, the shock-springs had sagged , the steering-wheel bushing had slop for weeks. I broke a front axle backing up in 4WD full-steering lock on flat ground.... I was done.

Sort of a caveat to the above post. Last year for my sons 9th birthday. He wanted a new quad. We shopped around. Any of the small quad models either had no reverse or were too small for him. The Polaris Sportsman 90 was perfect. I thought surely thought thier quads had a little better reliability-factor.....Boy was I wrong, what a piece of Chinese crap. Sold it and bought him a Kawasaki Bayou 250.....Have not even had to check the air in the tires since.

I've driven a couple 800 rangers and they did ride nice. A lot quieter too, but Polaris can't make their machines hold up. My brother in law has a Polaris 90. Total piece of crap.

I had a couple of jap street bikes them a couple of Harley's . Way back when.in 2010 My wife and I bought a secluded 10 acre camp with a ridgetop view of the sunset. We wanted a safe ( from rangers)place to camp and party, two trips on foot to that sunset point and next trip down we had the teryx. The rest is history.
